Apesar de ser um procedimento considerado comum, é necessário alertar que a extração de dentes não está isenta de possíveis riscos. Dentre os perigos envolvendo o procedimento, está a anestesia utilizada durante o processo. Sendo seguro na grande maioria dos casos, há possibilidades do paciente sofrer reações adversas, à exemplo de possíveis alergias ou complicações cardiovasculares.
Não parando por aí, o procedimento de extração de dentes também pode ocasionar possíveis danos a tecidos vasos sanguíneos, nervos e até mesmo os ossos. A depender de complexidade e localização do dente extraído, o risco de possíveis danos aos nervos podem resultar em formigamento, dormência ou, então, uma possível perda de sensibilidade no local.
Um outro risco grave a ser enfatizado é a possibilidade de uma possível infecção, uma vez que, após realizar a extração, mostra-se necessário levar em consideração os cuidados adequados no local da extração com o objetivo de prevenir possíveis infecções.
Durante esta última quarta-feira (20), uma jovem de apenas 23 anos de idade veio à óbito no município de Leme, localizado em São Paulo, após se submeter a um procedimento de extração de dente.
Identificada pelo nome de Marina Mesquita Silva, a jovem chegou a ficar internada durante três dias, contudo, não pôde resistir às complicações, com o falecimento sendo registrado como morte suspeita através da Polícia Civil.
Através das informações publicadas no Boletim de Ocorrência, Marina havia tomado todos os antibióticos que haviam sido receitados pelo dentista após a extração do dente.
O procedimento em questão teve início no dia 10 de maio e, após pouco tempo se passar, Marina foi surpreendida com fortes dores.
Após se passar dois dias, a jovem tomou a decisão de voltar à clínica para realizar uma consulta, sendo avaliada e, posteriormente, liberada do local. Nos dias 13 e 14 de maio, Marina buscou ajuda através do PAM, sendo atendida e liberada novamente.
No dia 14, Marina procurou auxílio do dentista, sendo liberada mais uma vez. Contudo, o pai de jovem tomou a decisão de leva-la a um pronto atendimento após receber uma ligação do consultório, que havia instruído a levá-la até a Santa Casa.
Por lá, Marina foi diagnosticada com abscesso dentário e celulite facial e, neste última quarta-feira (17), veio à óbito após sofrer uma parada cardiorrespiratório. O corpo da jovem foi sepultado nesta quinta-feira (18).

O falecimento repentino deixou os amigos e familiares de Marina perplexos, com os conhecidos fazendo questão de prestar suas últimas homenagens nas redes sociais.
Desabafando sobre ocorrido, uma das amigas da jovem demonstrou toda sua tristeza através de uma postagem. “Lembraremos sempre de você”, disse ela, classificando Marina como uma pessoa risonha e brincalhona.
Outra amiga destacou que já estava com saudade de toda a alegria que Marina transparecia e estampava em seu rosto, agradecendo por todo o carinho e presentes que ela mandava.
O corpo de marina foi levado ao IML (Instituto Médico Legal) para a realização de exames, sendo sepultado nesta quinta-feira (18). Agora, o caso vem sendo investigado pelas autoridades policiais, que buscam aveiguar o caso com mais detalhes.
