Na segunda-feira, dia 29, Raul Gil foi hospitalizado no Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, localizado em São Paulo. O apresentador do SBT passou por uma cirurgia na próstata na manhã de terça-feira, dia 30.
De acordo com informações divulgadas pelo jornal Estado de Minas, a equipe liderada pelo médico Sergio Felizola foi responsável pelo procedimento cirúrgico. A operação ocorreu de forma tranquila e o apresentador encontra-se em processo de recuperação.
Raul Gil encontra-se atualmente em um quarto no Hospital Albert Einstein, sem uma previsão de alta definida até o momento. No entanto, acredita-se que dentro de aproximadamente dois dias ele possa receber alta e retornar para casa. A cirurgia realizada foi a Ressecção Transuretral da Próstata, um procedimento minimamente invasivo realizado por meio de um endoscópio.
Quando a glândula apresenta um aumento de volume, ocorre a compressão da uretra, tornando necessária a realização dessa cirurgia.
